Can i really have all these mental problems?
ByOk so I took this quiz on Psychology today can do you need to see a therapist and here are the exact results:
Although your scores were generally quite good, you scored well outside the normal range in at least one category. This suggests that you should probably consult with a mental health professional for further testing or treatment. There is most certainly a professional out there who can help improve the symptoms you are experiencing.
The following are the areas of concern detected by the screening:
Your symptoms point to Major Depressive Disorder.
You have suffered from at least one panic attack.
Your responses strongly indicate that you suffer from Body Dysmorphic Disorder.
The test also detected symptoms of one or more disorders that did not meet all the criteria, but that may still merit treatment.
The following are the areas of concern detected by the screening:
You have experienced some symptoms of a brief psychotic episode, but not enough to qualify as a full-blown episode.
You have experienced symptoms of a manic episode.
Although you meet the criteria for the frequency of symptoms, your symptoms do not appear to be severe enough to meet the criteria for Bipolar disorder.
You meet the criteria for the frequency of symptoms of Rapid Cycling Bipolar Disorder, but your symptoms do not appear to be severe enough to meet the criteria.
You experience some symptoms of Simple Phobia.
You experience some symptoms of Generalized Anxiety Disorder.
Love your alls answers, haha England Auden:D Thanks.

It seems that your test results are all a bit inconclusive. Most of them do not match all the symptoms of whatever disorder, and if you do match them, that doesn't necessarily mean you have the disorder. Plus, you did take this test on the internet, correct? Many of these kind of tests ask questions that force you to answer a certain way. I wouldn't be suprised if the vast majority of the population has similar results as you do. If it makes you feel better to get professional and personal advice from a psychiatrist, then do so. But, to be honest, I don't think there's anything wrong with your mental status.

uhm…its definitly quite possible to have all of these disorders and symptoms. a lot of people do experience all of this and more.
i suggest you do a bit of research and actually look up what each of these disorders actually are.
psychology is the study of the brain, its functions, the way people think, and why. just like every bone in the body has a name, so does every symptom, action, function, emotion, thought, etc.
unless your symptoms are detrimental to your physical and mental health, then im not sure you need to seek treatment, unless you want to. althought speaking with a therapist could help solve some issues you have, and possible resolve some of your symptoms.

LOL!
That's hilarious!
The only person who can diagnose you is a trained professional - although I can have a bit of a guess from your results and say you're a worrier who drinks coffee and you don't love your body.
Saying, "You meet the criteria for the frequency of symptoms of Rapid Cycling Bipolar Disorder, but your symptoms do not appear to be severe enough to meet the criteria." is ridiculous. If you're not severe enough to meet the critera, all that sentence is is a scaremongering version of 'you have moodswings'. Or most likely, 'You have PMS'.
Panic attacks are very common, I strongly doubt you suffer from body dismorphic disorder - the diagnosis line is very illusive as many women dislike their bodies - BDD is diagnosed usually either immediately before or after someone has done something drastic to alter their appearance - I don't mean dying their hair, I mean performing home plastic surgery, or other self mutiliation.
There's about 1% of the population who don't ever experience psychosis in their lives and about 1% who experience full blown episodes. 'Symptoms of a manic episode' could just be being a little hyper or drinking too much coffee and getting the shakes. To be diagnosed as manic you'd have to have done something out of character that is socially unusual like running naked through a public place or spending $10,000 on shoes in one day - and that feeling would have to last for a week to be diagnosed as a manic episode - which also ties into the 'Bipolar' "diagnosis" - if you've never actually had a diagnosable manic episode you can't be diagnosed as Bipolar..
Find me someone who in their lives has never suffered from 'some symptoms' of Simple Phobia or Generalized Anxiety. They're the two most common things in the Western world and I could walk up to anyone on the street right now, describe the symptoms of both and they'd go, OH MY GOD I HAVE THAT!
This quiz is bull. I'd love to see what they'd diagnose me with.. I have been diagnosed as Schizophrenic by a psychiatrist so they MIGHT pick that up, though I'd probably get 'you don't meet all the symptoms' as I don't doubt that this quiz is only using one set of diagnostic critera, I'd probably also get depressive disorder, which I've never suffered from, panic attacks, BDD for sure..
If we all lived our lives by "diagnosises" like these we'd never go out.

Spent a lot of time with doctors and some time in secure facilities with people who actually have some of these disorders.

Was your quiz by chance endorsed by any sort of commercial medical organization? If it was, don't even take a second look! They WANT you to feel like you have everything so you'll come see a shrink and make them money!
I bet if I took that I'd be diagnosed with everything under the sun. The key to a "disorder" is whether or not it interferes with your daily life in a major way. If none of your symptoms do, you have nothing to worry about.

from what source did you receive the quiz? it's more than likely to be nothing of any concern or it would state it as being a questionnaire. being a quiz is more likely to be nothing more than a bit of fun.
