Is there a difference in the treatment for SAD and GAD?
ByIs there a difference in the treatment for social anxiety disorder and generalized anxiety disorder? I'm on an antidepressant but still have social anxiety issues. Anyone have any success with any particular med? I don't have time for therapy, so I'm really looking more in the direction of meds. Thanks!
What medication are you taking right now? I would recommend something like effector, lexapro, or cymbalta. But, I use to have social anxiety as well and the best thing for it is exposure. Just walk up to complete strangers (preferably with a friend and in a crowded place lol) and conduct a make up survey and just ask them question, it will help you with talking to people and social interaction. Email me the medication you are taking and I will try to help you more. Cya!

I've read that SSRIs are the standard treatment for both SAD and GAD. The "best" SSRI I've heard of being used for SAD is Paxil.
